Tate Construction provides a customised sustainable home for the Witchcliffe Ecovillage’s second resident

Tate Construction’s first sustainable house in the Witchcliffe Ecovillage has been a tremendous success and we are thrilled to be able to hand it over to only the Ecovillage’s second resident. His home is a bespoke Shervington, designed by the Witchcliffe Ecovillage and modified by Pernille Stent of Design Button to match our client’s unique requirements. We wish him lots of happiness and enjoyment in his new home.

“I decided to buy in the Ecovillage when a friend told me all about it. It was an impulsive decision and due to limited funds, I needed to choose a builder that had reliable infrastructure, their own trades and local connections as I knew a supply crisis was coming. Barry, Elaine and Sunny have not disappointed me. I bought the block a month after my friend but have moved in six months before him. I’m a very happy camper and loved my first night’s sleep to the soft chorus of local frogs – double glazing and insulated walls reduced a roaring symphony to a therapeutic hum.”

Customisable sustainable home designs

All of our home designs can be customised to meet specific needs or a bespoke design can be created if you have a unique concept. We can help you live your dream lifestyle in this world-class first development using our combined experience and knowledge.

Tate Construction has been collaborating with Witchcliffe Ecovillage to create one-of-a-kind home designs that are perfectly suited to the community’s sustainable and eco-friendly goals. The Witchcliffe Ecovillage is on track to become one of the world’s first completely integrated villages, providing renewable electricity, water and fresh food produce.

The Shervington eco house

The Shervington is one of the eco houses that have been designed by the in-house ecovillage team at Witchcliffe Ecovillage. We are responsible for the construction of the timber design options – which include Linea FC Cladding.

The Shervington is named after a prominent Witchcliffe family member and former landowner of the ecovillage site. The eco-friendly home has a three-bedroom, two-bathroom, open plan living design and has options for a north or west/east alfresco area.

Tate Construction is a professional construction company based in Margaret River, Western Australia. We have been working alongside the Witchcliffe Ecovillage since its development stages with a keen focus on sustainable house designs. Please contact our qualified eco-home builders’ team today to discuss your upcoming residential or commercial construction project on (08) 97573913 or to ask us about our work on each different house and land package at the Witchcliffe Ecovillage.
