This project is anticipated to be completed in early August. Seven metre high panels were constructed insitu, with the panel lift undertaken by the very capable and professional team from Capel Cranes.
We commenced this project in March 2019, with a proposed handover date of July 2019. Works consisted of repairs and rectifications to the hall and an extension and refurbishment to the existing public ablution block. The hall was constructed in 1930, and has been the centre of the Cowaramup community for nearly 90 years. Time, however, has not been too kind to the hall structure, and several structural issues have taken time to rectify. The existing kitchen area, which has been added to in 'dribs and drabs' quite a few times over the past 30 years or so will now be demolished due to structural issues and termite damage. A new, refreshing design for the kitchen and foyer area will be constructed, and along with the strengthened hall, will serve the community for many more years to come.
The public ablution block will be completed early August, 2019, and open to the public by mid-August.
